There are so many moments…moments I never want to forget.
I blogged several highlights of the day, and in our first days of marriage, in Countdown to Change, but sometimes a picture is worth more than my words can do justice.
Our day started sweet and slow, kicked into high gear, and then ended with the most incredible celebration that we’ve ever been a part of. The laughter, the tears, the dancing, the wind, the sunshine, the family, the friends, the details…it was like beautiful strokes on a canvas, all coming together to make a breathtaking masterpiece. Sure, it wasn’t perfect, but what didn’t go as planned hardly mattered.
All of our hard work was coming to life, and right there in front of our family and friends, we promised forever to each other. Husband and wife, doing life together both now and always.
Our day, our moments, were sensational.
These girls were INCREDIBLE. From early breakfast and coffee to a day that never stopped, they jumped in and made the details a success and the whole day a blast!
My high school friend, Mary, was one of my favorite parts of the day! She did my hair better than I imagined and my make-up…flawless. Mary made me feel like a beautiful bride!
my mama…there with her hugs and tears on the morning of my wedding. thankful for her tender sweetness
my best friend. what else can I say? her laughter brought joy to my day and made simple moments unforgetable
my shoes! how I still adore them! I had a blast with my chapel length, lace veil and my blue shoes. Never enough lace!
On my way to see my guy for the first time on our wedding day!!
The wind! I can’t even tell you how windy it was, so this picture will show you. On my way to tap Adam on the shoulder, my veil blew right outta my hair! It made our first look full of smiles and laughter
For the first time, we look at each other on our wedding day
sweet sunshine. sweet moments together before it all began.
The sweetest flower girls I could ask for! Braved the windy cold, made it down the aisle, and twirled in their princess dresses with me. beautiful.
My dad! What a stud. We did a “first look” to have a moment together before it all began. Boy am I glad we did!
Tears of joy
Our vows! Writing our vows was SO much fun! We wrote them together and crafting our lifelong promises was one of my favorite parts of the entire wedding planning process
His vows to me
Someone said I was “like the bubbles in champagne” during our wedding, which I believe this picture captures so well. I was giddy to marry my man!
We just kissed. We just got announced. We just stepped out as husband and wife. Excitement that can’t be described!
Rice! Well, environmentally friendly “rice”. And it. got. everywhere. But it was a blast!
Our wedding party was just too much fun!
the guys…who hated having their pictures taken
and the girls, who glammed it up for well over 12 hours. these ladies…incredible.
Our entrance! I had to talk Adam into this (he swore he would drop me) but he dipped his girl and it was so much fun!
the moment where my best friend told my secrets in front of 200 of our closest family and friends
the moment where my brother-in-law made me cry. what wonderful words he spoke to us and about us. what a gift.
When my dad prayed over us.
The moment I KNEW this cake feeding thing was not going to go well
Our first dance was so fun. I honestly don’t remember much other than looking into Adam’s eyes, thinking…wow…we really did it!
a dance we’ve dreamed with a song we picked out years ago. Sweet prayers from my dad over this day coming to life
Adam lost his mom. Mom lost her daughter. They fit together like puzzle pieces, both knowing what it feels like to have a broken heart.
We. Had. So. Much. Fun.
The shortest and longest married couples in the room. A celebration of new marriage and lasting promises.
We had to tear ourselves away at the end of the night! We danced and laughed and enjoyed every single moment of one of the best days of our lives.
